the mavs can coach Avery Johnson after losing to the hornets in 5 games of the first round playoff series. he was a the winningest coach in the history of the dallas mavericks. some say he fell into a sweet deal left coach nelson. even if you have the players, you still have to make the choices, call the right plays, and know your stuff. i believe i would have canned jason kidd first. he cost the mavs more games with his league leading number of bricks he tossed up. he looked like a one man masons convention when he first got here. if we could gather all those bricks up, we could build a homeless shelter. for more info on Avery Johnson follow the link below www.nba.com/mavericks/news/Avery_Johnson_dismissed_043008.html

First off, you dont jeopardize your teams future by trading for a old man point guard that cant shoot. We traded a young point guard that could go to the hole strong and didnt mind takin the hard fouls. We used to have a player that did that last year in Josh till his toking made him start settling for jumpers. Yes, Kidd can get the ball to the right players in the spots they want the ball but it doesnt help much if they back off him and dare him to shoot. We traded the future for a guy that is overpaid and maybe has a year left in him. Ya he looked good for Team USA, but all he had to do was dribble upcourt and get rid of the ball like it was a grenade.
